Doing a walk-through bond is a perfect solution for people who want to avoid arrest or needlessly spend time in jail during their pretrial period. Not only does it take away your freedom, but it severely limits your ability to organize a legal defense. If you have an arrest warrant, doing a walk-through is what you need!
Outstanding Warrant for Your Arrest
Most people are unaware of a warrant for their arrest until they learn that law enforcement officers are looking to talk with them. It may be that they had not gotten proper notice of their pending court date. Some may just have forgotten to appear. However, there is no need for you to endure the embarrassment of being arrested. Furthermore being deprived of making a living. When arrested, law enforcement may wish to question you. Be aware that misstatement may later be used in court against you. This can affect your sentencing. You have the right to be silent and ask for an attorney to be present, so by all means, exercise it.
What Happens When I Do a Walk-Through Bond?
We can do most of the paperwork in advance of your arrival at our office. After signing the necessary papers, the bail agent will then accompany you to the jail. After we post the bond, a detention deputy will photograph and fingerprint you in a room next to the bond desk. You will not need to disrobe or put on a jumpsuit.
Meanwhile, the jail will teletype the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to see if you have warrants anywhere else. You will need to wait for their reply, and if negative, you will then be free to leave.
What Do I Do Then?
